Aubie is an actor, teacher, audition coach, writer, and director from Philadelphia. He lives in Brooklyn now.
Aubie holds an MFA in Acting from the Yale School of Drama and studied Religious Studies and Performance Studies at Brown University. He was a member of the original broadway cast of Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of To Kill A Mockingbird, starring Jeff Daniels and Celia Keenan-Bolger, and originated the role of Harry in KPOP on Broadway. In 2021, he played Peter in Soho Rep’s acclaimed production of Wolf Play, by Hansol Jung.
He has acted in a number of films and commercials - in 2023, he was in the movie Jules opposite Sir Ben Kingsley. Check it out - the film is great, and Sir Ben is heartbreaking.
He has played leading roles in plays like Saint Joan, Hand to God, Stupid F*cking Bird, The Aliens, The Liar...and a bunch of others. He is a recipient of the Weston Award for Acting and a three-time Barrymore nominee, including Outstanding Leading Actor in a Play for Hand to God.
He also learned about PUPPETS during that production.
In 2018, Aubie played Hamlet with Bedlam.
Aubie has devised with the National Theatre of Scotland and has worked on new plays with Rachel Bonds, Ed Sobel, Lee Sunday Evans, and Dmitry Krymov. He has also spent four summers developing new work at Playpenn's New Play Development Conference and is a member of the acting company at People's Light in Malvern, PA.
